How to get there
Airplane: To Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport, by shuttle bus VOLA IN BUS to the station of Santa Maria Novella.
Car: To the station car park of Santa Maria Novella.
Train: To the station of Santa Maria Novella.
Train: No direct bus service from the station, only from nearby Via della Scala (11,36,37) and Via Rucellai (B).
Footpath: From the station about 20 minutes.

Disabled persons
Disabled visitors may enter the gardens through the archway at the left end of the palace façade or from the Annalena entrance in via Romana, no.39.
THE PORCELAIN MUSEUM
Because of the steepness of the paths parts of the gardens are not easily accessible to persons in wheelchairs.
No wheelchair access. Inside the Boboli Gardens, in the higher part of the garden beyond the amphitheatre; it is only accessible via stairs.

On request, the Office provides educational assistance to schools in the Province of Florence, Prato and Pistoia: it conducts specific programmes, arranges workshops and itineraries in the Museums of the Special Superintendency for the State Museums of Florence.
Cost: workshops free of charge; Museum lessons, € 3.00 per student.
Library
The Nuova Biblioteca Palatina is beside the Education office in the Andito degli Angiolini (main staircase, upper mezzanine floor).
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday: 10-13.
Shop
In the courtyard of the Pitti Palace and at the entrance to the Gallery.
Guides to the collections in various languages are available, besides other art publications and objects inspired by works in the Palace.
Cafés
There is a café in the Boboli Gardens (Kaffeehaus) and another in the courtyard of the Pitti Palace.
